SATOP services are provided only at the Larry Simmering Recovery Center in Branson. The Simmering Center is a State-certified Offender Management Unit and provides the required Driver Risk Inventory assessment. Based on the results of that assessment, Simmering Center counselors will refer the client to the appropriate level of service:
- Offender Education Program (OEP), which is comprised of 10 hours of classroom education.
- Weekend Intervention Program (WIP), which is comprised of 48 hours in a controlled, supervised environment during which time the client receives education, group and individual counseling.
- Or, the Clinical Intervention Program (CIP) which requires a comprehensive assessment and 48 hours of group therapy, individual therapy, and specialized classes.
- Or the Level IV Program, which requires a comprehensive assessment and a minimum of 73 hours of group therapy, individual therapy, and specialized classes.
Any person who is charged with a DWI, DUI, or Zero Tolerance offense in the State of Missouri must complete one of the above levels of service before becoming eligible once again to possess a driver license.
