The board and senior staff of Sigma House met on February 24th to develop a plan for the next two years. Brian Fogle of Community Foundation of the Ozarks facilitated the retreat. Those present from the board were Board President, Suzan Gonder, Secretary, Shirley Cooper, Treasurer, Al Zuercher, Jim Smothers, Jim Troyke, Rodney Daniels, Pat Connell, and John Eppick. Those present from the staff included Sher Peck, David Bradley, Dawn Erickson, Terry Decker, Lois Maddux, and Roy Pischer. Brian initially addressed the many challenges facing a non-profit, including increased demand for services, the threat of a public funding decrease, and the nuances of volunteer boards.
